I couldn't have asked for a better value for my money. The room at Waterloo House exceeded my expectations with its stunning views, cozy fireplace, and relaxing hot tub. The location was perfect, offering beautiful walks and a short distance to the village. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay.
Breakfast delights with just a touch more variety would have been the cherry on top.

The garden was like a little oasis, perfect for a glass of wine and a BBQ. The free WiFi was a nice touch, although it didn't stop my husband from checking his work emails every five minutes. And the private parking prevented me from having to search for a spot and ruin my heels.
Oh, just loved everything. NOT. I mean, who needs free private parking when you can spend hours circling the block looking for a spot?

The location of Waterloo House is absolutely superb. We were greeted by breathtaking views of Lochinver harbour and the magnificent mountains. The property itself is easily accessible and has a well-maintained road leading up to it. It was wonderful to be able to walk into Lochinver in just 20 minutes. One of the highlights of our stay was the hot tub, which provided a luxurious and relaxing experience without any pesky midges bothering us. The open plan living area was perfect for socializing, and we particularly enjoyed using the Apple TV to share photos and videos from our day's adventures. The comfortable beds and ensuite bathrooms in each bedroom made our stay even more enjoyable. We have visited Lochinver regularly, and Waterloo House will definitely be on our list of places to return to.

A Cozy Fire to Warm Up By
After a long day of exploring the beautiful Lochinver, I returned to the lodge with a balcony and city views. The heating needed a bit adjusting, but to my surprise, the hosts had sorted the issue and made sure we had a cozy fire to warm up by. It was like stepping into a toasty fireplace, embracing us with its comforting warmth. That crackling fire created the perfect ambiance, making us feel right at home. It was the cherry on top of the delightful stay at this lovely lodge.
Minor heating issue.
